​Tamiko Lowry-Pugh often referred to as “The Empowering Diva” is the voice for Women’s Empowerment. As the CEO of Tamiko Lowry LLC, and The founder of The Still Standing Foundation, she has constructed a powerful movement dedicated to the empowerment and personal development of women across the world. Tamiko is the epitome of her aptly named non-profit, The Still Standing Foundation—an organization that provides a positive outlet for survivors of domestic violence to shed the shame and despair of their struggle while gaining strength and power. She is a compassionate mentor and friend, an enthusiastic leader, and visionary.
Tamiko is a member of The National Association of Professional Women, Atlanta’s Urban Professionals, Atlanta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), and Women In The Spotlight GoinGlobal. In 2010 she was featured in Career Magazine’s article “40 Movers and Shakers under the age of 40” and in 2012 received The Atlanta Rising Star Award for her work with the Still Standing Foundation. Most recently Tamiko received the Atlanta Black History Makers Award as well as the Unsung Heroine Award for her dedication to the fight to end domestic violence. Tamiko currently serves as a contributor for the Female Entrepreneurs Association Magazine, and the Fulton County Women’s Journal and Bold Favor Magazine. Her experiences and the wisdom gained from them has afforded her many opportunities to appear on several radio and talk shows, host seminars, workshops, and provide support to other charitable organizations throughout the country.

Tamiko earned her Business degree from Colorado Technical University. She has completed Domestic Violence Advocacy training with the Georgia Coalition of Domestic Violence and obtained a certification in Teen Dating Violence Awareness which allows her to teach and train Domestic Violence Awareness workshops throughout the country. After attending the International Coaching and Science Research Institute she obtained certifications as a Certified Life Coach and Public Speaker/Master Communicator.

As an Author, Speaker, Professional Empowerment Coach, and Domestic Violence Advocate, Tamiko believes that empowerment comes from within and can be achieved by honoring yourself, your values, and expressing your talents and gifts.

Cash began the business at just 5 years old at an entrepreneur program in his church. He told his mom that he wanted to sell lemonade! People have since enjoyed Cashmere Lemonade at several local events, parties, and sports games. Today, with the help of his family, Cash has grown the business from just participating in summer events to now selling 24/7 at his website www.CashmereLemonade.com . The lemonade is now bottled and available in a 20 oz bottle or a  1 Gallon Jug. Customers don’t have to wait for events or parties. Mink Cadet is the 8 year old entrepreneur behind Mink Cadet Beauty. Mink Cadet beauty is a beauty brand that promotes being your own beautiful self. The first product to be featured from the brand is an innovative line of nail polish. She created the polish line to help other girls who are like her, nail biters! Mink mixes a special ingredient in her polish that deters one from biting their nails. Girls around the world can now enjoy their pretty polish without the urge to bite! She is currently working on her website www.MinkCadetBeauty.com to make the polish available for purchase  and to sign up for her polish mixing classes!

LaShon Thompson has stepped out on faith and into her duty as a conscientious parent right on Bravo’s new play-on words hit show “Mother Funder$”.

Shot in Locust Grove, GA, LaShon Thompson has always been a long time resident of Georgia; from being born and raised in Atlanta to now residing in the small town of Locust Grove. Highly invested in her children’s lives, LaShon is the Secretary of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)  and the newest addition to this very audacious group.

Wearing many hats as “momager” to her kids’ acting and music careers, director behind a successful trucking company, potential business owner of long term dreaming, and mother to Ajah, Messiah, Domani and stepdaughter Niya, LaShon is also happily married and a devotee to husband TeShon Thompson.

Although LaShon focus is for her family’s success, as the newest member to the PTO family LaShon believes in being surrounded by like-minded people; and the skills of social and communal building and learning the balance in her life will help her to succeed in reaching her own ambitious career goals.

Amber Bryant

Married to a former NFL player Fernando Bryant, Amber Bryant knows how to score touchdowns as the Volunteer Coordinator of the local Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) in her community. Due to her NFL connections, Amber is well known in Atlanta’s social scene and can make one phone call to raise thousands of dollars. Although she currently doesn’t have a child at local elementary school, Amber has been designated an honorary member due to her commitment for the school and her connections to wealthy donors. Her three-year-old daughter Griffin will eventually attend the school, but always the go-getter, Amber is laying the groundwork to create her own legacy at the PTO. In addition to her volunteer work, she is also a Montessori elementary school teacher and has a 13-year-old stepson, Fernando II, and 15-year-old nephew, Austin, that reside with her and her husband. She is preparing to launch a new brand for busy mommies called Stiletto Mom.

A teen mom born to a teenage mother, Johnson refused to be a statistic. As one of the stars of VH1’s “Atlanta Exes”, The visionary mogul is the co-founder of beauty brand Butterfly EFX alongside celebrity makeup artist Toni Acey. Johnson and Acey leveraged their affinity for fashion and style by developing a highly pigmented palette of lipsticks and lip-glosses that are not only richly saturated in color, but also beautifully packaged.

Having overcome years of setbacks and battles, Johnson feels that she is finally living her purpose and what some may consider the new American dream. As a devoted mother, businesswoman, spiritual guru and philanthropist. She is also the founder of BFLY Coaching that will produce its first event, Amazing Me Amazing Life Event.

 

Tandice Jean Baptiste/MySkinMyStory

Tandice Jean Baptiste is an educator with over ten years of professional experience. She holds Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Winston-Salem State University and earned a Master of Education in early childhood from Kennesaw State University in 2010. It was Tandice’s introduction to the color complex at an early age that increased her sensitivity to the topic that has plagued African Americans throughout history. Furthermore, while teaching, she also dedicated her time as a mentor and a role model for several girls of color. It was the experience as a mentor that reminded her of the impact the color complex has had on women of color. Afterwards, a flame was ignited, and since Tandice has dedicated her time and effort towards eliminating the color complex and increasing self awareness and acceptance.

Tandice’s goal is to create a support system for the beautiful brown girls who have been subjected to society’s limited perception of beauty. MySkinMyStory is her platform to celebrate women of color and to provide them with the voice and the recognition they deserve. She strives to encourage young women of color to break the harsh generational cycle of stereotypes, prejudices, and labels based on the hue of one’s complexion. Tandice hopes that MySkinMyStory will not only encourage women of color to speak out about the color complex but will also empower them to love their skin and to celebrate their beauty.
