Testimony:

My love for God is evident in my service and worship to him but I haven’t always been this way. Saved from drugs, alcohol and a life of promiscuity, God has showed himself strong in my life and it is my goal to do the same for him. I want my life to reflect his glory. I’m not perfect and I know I will fall short but I have my mind made up that ‘I shall serve him all the days of my life.’

One day I was reading 1st Kings 13 in which the prophet disobeyed God… verse 21: ‘For as much as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee.’

When I read this, it shook me. No matter who you are obedience is better than sacrifice and that it’s important to follow God’s instructions to the ‘T’. God is not playing. That chapter inspired 1st Kings Apparel and the first design ‘Don’t fight D.E.A.T.H.’ Don’t fight doing everything according to him (Christ). Die to self and live for him.

God is great and mighty and I encourage you to have a relationship with Him. Fellowship and commune with him, and watch how your life changes. 1st Kings Apparel is just a mere reflection of our hearts and service to God. I appreciate your support. God Bless.

Collette Caters Inc. is a company that was birthed out of the heart and mind of Lindsay Collette Edwards, single mother of four who always had a love of cooking and entertaining the masses. Lindsay often used cooking to bring her family and friends together to celebrate life, make hard times easier, and to try some of her new creations. Often times Lindsay used her kitchen as her safe haven from the everyday stresses of life. When Lindsay was laid off from her job, it caused her to think about her dreams and visions and what she really desired rather than to search for another dead end job.

After much consideration and speaking to her support system, she came to the conclusion that being able to earn a living doing what she loves to do while giving the gift of great food to others is her ultimate dream. Being able to turn what she loves to do into multiple streams of income is what this country is founded upon.

Because Lindsay’s youngest son Isaiah is on the Autism Spectrum, Collette Caters Inc. will partner with Autism Speaks and The Marcus Center allowing her company to donate a percentage of each sale for Autism research.

Dr. Lorie Johnson is a Board Certified OB/GYN that practices out of Locust Grove, Georgia.  Born and raised in Long Branch, New Jersey by her grandmother; Dr. Lorie has wanted to be a doctor for as long as she can remember. She has always had a passion for women’s health. For her undergraduate degree, Dr. Lorie attended the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and furthered her education at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She has been practicing for over 12 years. In 2009, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to open her own practice. Just For You Women’s Healthcare established in 2009 serves the Metro Atlanta area with a focus on Henry, Clayton, Butts and Spalding counties.

Although Dr. Lorie has achieved her dreams of becoming an OB/GYN, she is no stranger to hardship. Dr. Lorie had to support herself through college.  At, 23 she became a single mother. She raised her daughter while going to medical school, her residency and her first years as a practicing physician. Dr. Lorie works diligently to give back to those that may be in a situation similar to the one she faced as a young mother.  Dr. Lorie is committed to improving the health of all women. She has participated in medical mission trips abroad and currently helps at health fairs presented by a variety of organizations. In her free time, Dr. Lorie enjoys reading, traveling, creative writing, sports and spending time with her two children.

Alexandria Alli is the Owner and Designer at F&W Style. Her passion for fashion started at the early age of ten, when she persuaded her mother to let her assist at her Fashion Design Studio everyday after school.  It was there that she learned a lot about design and running a fashion business.  At the age of thirteen her family moved from Nigeria to Atlanta, Georgia and she started a modeling career. She modeled for major companies throughout the United States.

As her modeling career advanced she fell in love with the beauty and glamour of the industry. She fell in love with the well crafted luxurious items, specifically handbags.  However, she soon realized that most women including herself could not afford the luxurious accessories and clothing that she modeled in magazines and on the runway.

After earning her Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2008, and decided to put her educational background with her years of experience in the fashion industry to create a luxurious brand for the everyday fashionable woman. With the support her husband Alfred Alli, F&W Style was born.

F&W Style launched in 2009 as a luxury handbag brand for the everyday woman. The team researched and discovered there was a void in the market for luxury handbags at an attainable price.  F&W Style handbags are made with striking Italian leathers that reflect exquisite details, each in the likeness of head designer, Alexandria Alli.

Alexandria Alli, a second generation designer was raised in Nigeria were at a young age she was exposed to the many colors and patterns of nature, in addition to modern architectural structures. Meet Author and Philanthropist R. Nikki Chaney, a Business Major Graduate. After a decade of suffering from domestic violence and abuse, Author Chaney was inspired to write and self-publish her first novel, “Till Death Do Him Part: Marriage Vows To Die For,” in 2011, to inspire other women who may have been affected by this epidemic.  Her aspiration in life is empowering women through words. Although her passion is studying law and her career objective was being an attorney, her dedication to empower women affected by domestic violence surpassed her passion for law.

In 2013 she founded Heel My Heart, Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established to educate, encourage and empower women affected by domestic violence and abuse.  Through  Heel My Heart, Author Chaney continues to manifest her dreams into reality by providing women with the essential necessities to take charge of their life and rebuild their self-esteem. Author Chaney is married to Author, screenwriter and Structuring Our Sons mentor, Ken Chaney. The couple share parental responsibilities for eight children.

Dr. Hill is a licensed therapist in the state of Georgia and Florida and has been working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds for over a decade. Dr. Hill received her Bachelors  Degree from Florida Atlantic University, Masters and Doctorate Degrees from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Myla is a highly educated, experienced plastic surgeon with several years of experience.  She has dedicated her career to performing advanced plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Myla honed her plastic surgery skills by completing surgical residencies in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as specialized aesthetic surgery fellowship training. Dr. Myla earned a degree in biology at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She then completed a specialized post-graduate program in medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Myla received her Doctor of Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she also completed her general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery residencies. In order to gain further expertise in craniofacial surgery, Dr. Myla pursued an advanced craniofacial plating course. In addition, she has completed coursework at Duke University. Due to Dr. Myla’s excellent professional background and surgical skills, she was admitted into the renowned aesthetic surgery fellowship program at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Research and Publications

While pursuing her medical education, Dr. Myla contributed to many research projects, and has authored as well as co-authored several medical publications. Dr. Myla has participated in research projects focused on burn treatments, wound healing, and studies involving DNA and RNA extractions from various tissue samples. Some of Dr. Myla’s publications include articles and abstracts on tuberous breast deformity, breast reconstruction, and dermal wound treatments.

Awards and Recognitions

Throughout her academic studies and hands-on training, Dr. Myla has received numerous recognitions. She is the recipient of The Ohio State University Samuel L. Roessler Research Fellowship Award and has been recognized for excellence in surgery, plastic surgery and laparoscopic surgery. While in medical school, Dr. Myla was selected to serve as an instructor and tutor to other medical students in such disciplines as immunology, biochemistry and anatomy.

Who is Brandi Nora? A mother, a volunteer, and entrepreneur who is living her dream each day. As a single mother of twin girls she understands the importance of being an engaged parent. In support of their endeavors Brandi has actively volunteered in their classrooms and currently holds the role of PTA President. She also understands the need to support girls within the community and has served as Cheer Coach for the Burdett Trojan cheerleaders at Burdett Recreation Gym for the past two years.

As Owner of B Memorable Consulting & Event Design since 2013, she has been led by faith and confidence. B Memorable lives by one motto alone: Leave each event with memorable details inspired by adding touch of B! This touch of B is obtained through the connection built between Brandi and the client. It’s the flare…that detail added to the design or atmosphere which represents the personality of the client but catches the eye of every guest in the room. That’s B Memorable, that’s the moment she lives for!
